In 2023, we were appointed by Rutland Council to prepare a county-wide public realm strategy. Involving a nine month programme, the study provides a review of existing conditions and recommendations for the use, management and treatment of public open space in the future.
It has involved extensive study, including completion of public realm audit in all primary and secondary settlements and engagement with a wide range of stakeholders.
The final stage involves place shaping strategies for Rutland’s two main towns of Oakham and Uppingham and is due to be completed in 2024.
