Representing an area of up to 0.4 hectares, the site is sensitively located at the edge of the village conservation area and the Cotswolds AONB. It is bounded by relatively modern residential development on two sides and has a rural outlook to the north.

Working with Mayer Brown’s transport, infrastructure and environment teams, Ecolocation Ecology and GVA Grimley, an Outline Application has been submitted for up to seven homes of varying typologies with SUDS, an on-site package wastewater treatment works and a potential club car parking space/ electric vehicle charging point.

Reflecting the more informal character of traditional built form in the village, new homes are clustered around a shared surface court. Continuous building frontages support a greater sense of enclosure and passive surveillance within the court, a soft edge treatment provides privacy for residents and delineates areas of parking while gateways denote access to a PROW that passes through the site.

Additionally, particular materials and architectural elements have been selected to reflect a predominant Cotswoldian style while at the same time, ensuring that new homes are of their age.
