Placemake is delighted to be a new member of the UK’s Green Building Council. Through our projects and operations, we continually strive for environmental performance and membership of the UKGBC aligns us with over 600 public and private organisations that hold similar beliefs and objectives to our own.
For us, this is perfectly captured in the following statement by the GBC’s outgoing CEO Smith Mordak: “It’s time to stop fighting over how to create a decarbonised version of the late 20th century… it’s time to work together to cultivate a 21st century society that will last us into the 22nd century”.
The UKGBC has an extensive library of ‘best practice’ material to support this transition and is a driving force for regulatory change in the UK.
